Today we started at the famous Target store, looking for garden stuff again, but they didn't have the sun-brolly that S liked. We then went to the Scandinavian furniture shop where D&S found the side table that matches their coffee table, and it would just fit in the car.
Now we went for coffee and found some real garden centres on line, so we could get some good plants. D&S chose a lovely cerise coloured bougainvillea and bought a pot and some more caladiums and petunias to fill it. There were also some solar powered plastic 'stone' lights that D fancied for the front, so we went home and got gardening again before we went out for dinner at Gautreau's, just around the corner. This is a first class restaurant in a regular house just down the road from D&S. There is no name over the door, so you have to know about it! The food is amazing and the service is excellent, and it is always fully booked, so some advanced planning is necessary. We had a wonderful meal, and it was so pleasant to walk home again, afterwards.
